Another Normal Day
Words and music by Bill Serfass
Walking and looking at people I meet,
somehow I want to touch everyone on the street
Give them a hand to help them out,
some must learn to whisper and others to shout
Cleaning my room oh I think it looks great,
singing a song somebody wrote of late
My mind travels on a well beaten path,
loving a person somewhere in the past
But it’s another normal day, nothing unusual in any way
Another normal day, and I’ve got nothing new to say
The telephone rings oh a couple of times,
I wonder who’s calling is it her on the line
I’ve got to think twice about things that I do,
now that everybody knows that I’m in this with you
Some people are happy getting in shape,
some try hard just to lose some weight
Some people are happy with the money they make,
some ask why to find out it’s too late
But it’s another normal day, nothing unusual in any way
Another normal day, and I’ve got nothing new to say
But it’s another normal day,
turn on the news and hear today’s tragedy
For thos poor people I really have a heart,
but as for me it’s all normal as I see it
I turn on the news everyday, channel 8 it’s the same old shock
I’m simply normal, believe me that’s a start
Walking and looking at people I see,
I want to touch everyone on the street
Give them a hand to help them out,
some people must learn to whisper and others to shout
But it’s another normal day, nothing unusual in any way
Another normal day, and I’ve got nothing new to say
