Dean a.k.a Dino
Forever busy and playing...
Dean was born in the bowels of New Jersey where he learned that a prerequisite of living there was to listen to hours of Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. His early musical talent developed in school where he picked up the
clarinet and after a few years he actually learned to play the thing. When he was ten, his parents packed him and their belongings and moved to Pennsylvania. He was still playing clarinet by then and decided to pick up the guitar. Since he couldn't play it, he put it back down
until his parents decided to pay for lessons in hopes that they would hear less noise and more music from him. Eventually at the age of 16, he hooked up with some local musicians and tried his hand at actually forming a band called Quest.
Since they already had a guitar player, and he didn't want to be upstaged, Dean moved over to playing bass. Bass players are usually the odd ones in the band so he fit right in. While still in high school he was introduced to some college musicians
from a band called Grey Parade. The new group, called The Voodoo Kittens, took off and played colleges all over Pennsylvania for the next two years. As the other members were leaving college, and Dean was just starting, the band broke up. Not long after (and a metal band or two
later), he was asked by an old friend to play some classic rock in a group called New Attitude. That band grew and died in two years, making a few recordings and almost getting signed with Capitol Records.
He went on to work for a pro sound company, fixing amplifiers for Bon Jovi, The Who, and Janet Jackson. By the age of 24, Dean was now married and career oriented, to the amazement of most. Music died down with only a sporadic effort here and there,
working in Virginia with former VooDoo Kitten Bill Mitchel in The Perseverators. As the marriage came to an end, he was approached by his former Voodoo Kitten drummer Neil to join The Willys and has enjoyed the place ever since! Now he just spends his time running Catalyst
Broadcast & Entertainment, working on this web site, playing lots and lots and lots and lots of music, and making his plan for world domination :) Guess some things never change!

I won't rant about the present political scene. I will say that if we respected the Constitution half as much as the framers intended, there would be a lot of Republicans and religious nuts being expelled from this country for treason....

Meanwhile...some of my favorite links:
- WHITEHOUSE.ORG -It's satire and funny as hell!
- Randi.Org -Wow, people actually think critically
- Ken Smith Basses - *DROOOOOL*
- Neverland Hotel - There's always been one songwriter/composer that has amazed me time and time again over the years...Jim Steinman. He's the guy that wrote
most of MeatLoaf's songs, a bunch of number-one hits, and a collection of music that should have been more widely appreciated. His music has the ability to convey more emotion than should be humanly possible, and has more youthfull drive than a teenager on his first date. I
respect anything that expresses the raw energy of the human spirit and the absolute essence of music..."You've got a hell of a lot to learn about Rock and Roll!"
- Franky's Heaven -When someone has an idea about a movie, then convinces a lot of other people that it's going to work, magic happens. These are people
